:: DUNBLANE FLATS PROJECT

Phase two of the regeneration scheme is starting later in the year.

More than 60 new homes will be built - 17 for rent. Work is likely to start in September.

:: NEW LOCAL GAMES AREA

A bid to the Big Lottery Fund for a multi-use games area on the Dunblane estate has been successful.

Work is likely to start on the play area in the summer.

:: UDECIDE SCHEME COMES TO DENTON

The award-winning Udecide scheme is to continue in Denton Ward.

The project, which began in 2006, allows local people to decide how money should be spent locally.

Graham Middleton explains: "Udecide has proven to be very popular and I am pleased it will continue.

"A total of more than £25,000 is being sought this year to spend by local people in projects in Denton Ward."

:: WARD COMMITTEE GRANTS REVEALED

The Lib Dem-run ward committee has approved a £477 grant to West Denton Community Association to help towards the cost of buying 50 new chairs.

It also agreed to give £500 to the Westerhope Community Partnership to help fund a heritage festival.
