ACTION DEMANDED ON PARKING

Residents in Longstone Square are demanding action is taken to stop inconsiderate parking during the school run.

Parents taking their children to West Denton Primary School frequently park behind residents' homes, causing problems for local people.

A petition, which has been backed by the majority of residents, was presented to the council in November by Councillor Peter Arnold.

"I will be working with residents and the council to try and find a resolution to this problem," he said.

"I would ask parents to have consideration for residents when taking their children to school."
