BRUNTON LANE RESURFACING

January 24, 2010 5:14 PM

The road between Kingston Park and Coach Lane has be resurfaced with a new anti-skid surface.

Councillor Anita Lower said: "We have received several complaints about loose chippings and cars leaving the road.

"The contractors have been out to review the work, however problems are still occurring.

"One solution suggested has been to keep the speed limit to 10mph but this is not working. The head of highways engineering has inspected the site and agrees that the surface is not correct.

"The contractors have agreed to carry out further work in the new year."

The same surface has been applied to the north of the village on the road to Horton Grange. The Lib Dem Team we will be asking for this to be inspected and monitored also.
