Kingston Park Shopping Centre Re-development

9.29.00pm GMT Mon 24th Mar 2008

The planning inspector has overturned the decision by Newcastle City council to refuse permission for the redevelopment of the Shopping Centre at Kingston Park. The remaining small units will be replaced with four large retail units and a block of smaller units will be built to the south of Springs in the car park.

Councillor Anita Lower appeared at the appeal hearing and spoke on behalf of residents against the development.
