Taking action on empty homes

11.24.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 4th Jun 2008

Councillor Liz Langfield is taking action about problems associated with empty homes in Lemington.

Liz has been contacted by local residents concerned about the condition of these disused houses.

Over time windows and doors are broken - allowing vermin to thrive - and causing a health hazard.

Liz has already found several empty houses locally and contacted the council to sort out the problems.

"If there is a property near you that has stood empty for a long time and has become an eyesore, please contact me," says Liz (pictured right).

"I will investigate and take action."

Contact Liz on 264 6738.
