MAKING HAZLERIGG A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE

11.10.00am GMT Fri 27th Feb 2009

The local Lib Dem Team has taken part in a walkabout around Hazlerigg with council staff and local residents.

Councillor Anita Lower joined Castle Ward neighbourhood response manager Steve Dargon and Jennifer Dodd-Storey, chair of Hazlerigg Parish Council

The aim of the walkabout was to identify local problems, such as graffiti, anti-social behaviour and litter and discuss ways of tackling them.

A number of problems were identified and action will be taken to sort them out.

Councillor Anita Lower says: "The walkabout around Hazlerigg was a very useful exercise.

"We were able to see at first hand what local grot spots need cleaning up or paving stones and kerbs that require repairing.

"The local Lib Dem councillors will ensure that this work is carried out."

If you know of any area that needs sorting out please contact the Lib Dem Team.
