LICENCES FOR SUPERMARKETS

8.17.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 18th Oct 2009

The Co-Op in Wansbeck Road has requested a licence to sell alcohol until 11pm.

Some residents have objected to this due to the potential for increased anti-social behaviour in the local area.

A similar application from Netto has been withdrawn as a result of local interest.
