TOY LIBRARY SCHEME EXTENDED TO NEWBIGGIN HALL

6.24.00pm GMT Fri 1st Jan 2010

A popular local scheme to allow parents and carers to borrow children's toys has been extended to Woolsington.

The project has been run successfully in other parts of Newcastle and is now running in Newbiggin Hall library.

The scheme allows parents and carers to borrow a toy for children aged up to eight

on their existing library card.

The children are involved in choosing toys from a catalogue that is located in the children's section of the library.

Focus Editor James Kenyon said: "This scheme has proved popular in other parts of Newcastle and I am delighted it has been extended to Woolsington.

"I am sure parents and carers will find it a useful extra service locally."
