LICENCE APPLICATION OPPOSED

Councillor Neil Hamilton opposed an alcohol licence at the former car parts shop on Stamfordham Road.

Residents had started a petition and there were also numerous letters of objection. Councillor Neil Hamilton told the Licensing Sub Committee of residents' concerns.

He said: "The committee acknowledged these concerns by cutting the hours when alcohol can be sold to Mon-Sat 11am-6pm and Sun 11am-4pm."
