The official opening of the new High Heaton library took place earlier this month.

Councillors Doreen Huddart, Karen Robinson and Greg Stone are delighted with the council's investment in an impressive

new facility for our area.

In addition to a modernised library with new IT equipment and stock, the venue includes a much needed community room available for hire by local groups for meetings and events.

Councillor Huddart says: "We will be using it for our councillor surgeries which have now restarted. They are on the last Thursday of the month between 6.30pm and and 7.30pm - but not Christmas Day."
