Work on building the new West Denton Shopping Centre is continuing.

The new health centre opened in November, as has a new Boots chemist outlet.

Several other shops have also moved in, including a Post Office.

The old health centre has been knocked down and the framework for the new Morrisons store has been erected in its place.

Councillor Graham Middleton says: "This is really good news that the shopping centre is taking shape.

"What has opened so far looks excellent and I know local residents are pleased with progress."
