:: Newburn Festival fun planned

The annual Newburn Summer Festival at Newburn Activity Centre is now being planned and local community groups are being encouraged to take part.

The festival takes place on July 18.

:: New speed camera for Newburn High Street

A new speed camera is to be used to cut down on speeding motorists through Newburn village.

The mobile camera will be used on the High Street in a bid to cut speed and save lives.

:: Come and join 'European Neighbour's Day'

The event is being held at Throckley Community Hall from 11am to 3pm on May 30. There's free prize bingo and lunch is provided.

Meanwhile Newburn Community Centre is holding its AGM on June 8 from 6.30pm. All are welcome.
