Paddy Freemans Park play area consultation meeting

November 13, 2009 2:20 PM

North Heaton Lib Dem councillor Greg Stone has welcomed news that the Paddy Freemans Park play area is to get a significant new makeover as part of the Lib Dem city council's programme of investment in play areas. The Spinney's play area is also set to benefit.

A meeting will be held at High Heaton Bowls Pavilion at 7pm on Thurs 26th November to outline ideas for the investment and get feedback from park users and locals.

Greg said "As a Friend of Paddy Freemans Park I am delighted that the play area is being upgraded. As a very popular facility the play area is showing signs of over-use and as such an upgrade is very welcome. I know how much the area means to local families and young children and getting this upgrade has been a long campaign, but I'm delighted we're getting there!"
