Dr Aidan KingCllr Dr Aidan King tried to propose this motion before debate was stifled because Labour refused to suspend the guillotine : This Council calls upon the UK Government to ban UK citizens from travelling to China for organ transplantation. Labour then voted it down without hearing the arguments. He had intended to say :

"The Chinese Communist Party is harvesting and selling organs from persecuted religious and ethnic minorities on an industrial scale, the UN human rights council has been told. The lawyer Hamid Sabi has presented the findings of the China Tribunal, an independent tribunal on allegations of forced organ harvesting. Mr Sabi told the council that UN member states have a "legal obligation" to act after the tribunal's final report in June found that "the commission of crimes against humanity against the Falun Gong and Uighur had been proved beyond reasonable doubt. Detainees are "killed to order…cut open whilst still alive for their kidneys, livers, hearts, lungs, cornea and skin to be removed and turned into commodities for sale".

"The Chinese Communist Party has detained for re-education in Xinjiang province between 1 and 3 million Uighur Muslims. At these facilities they are now building crematoria. The tribunal found evidence that they were "being used as a bank of organs", and subject to regular medical testing. In the Great Britain you have to wait for and organ to become available of the right type for you, in china you can book an appointment. These organs are available to the ultra-wealthy on the international market. The organ transplant industry is estimated to earn the Chinese Communist Party $1Bn a year. Italy, Israel, Spain and Taiwan have bans for their citizens seeking to travel to China for organ transplantation.

"Mr Sabi said "Victim for victim and death for death, the gasing of the Jews by the Nazis, the massacre by the Khmer Rouge or the butchery to death of the Rwanda Tutsis may not be worse that cutting out the hearts and other organs from living, blameless, harmless, peaceable people".

"I am no China hawk, but when now dealing with China we must keep these atrocities at the fore front of our minds. America is now turning towards a full cold war with China. Relations are cooling by the day, it is the one thing congress is united on. The people who are driving Brexit wish the UK to join with America in its decades long conflict with China for which will be the world wide Hegemon. I would choose neither. I wish for the UK to lead Europe on a new course between these two giants. "
