Cost of Living survey - February 2022

Every day recently we have been hearing in the news about the growing cost of living and squeezed household incomes.

Inflation is heading higher than it has been for decades; food prives are rising (with more tyo come, warns supermarket boss) ; there are huge increases on the way in household energy bills; Newcastle's Labour council is putting up your council tax again; and the Conservative Government's rise in National Insurance payments, and cuts to Universal Credit and automatic pension rsies will affect many local residents from April.

We've been speaking up on this issue at the City Council (including advancing our ideas on how to reduce the impact), and it will help us to kjeep fighting for action on these issues if we know how the cost of living crunch is affecting you.
