Salters Bridge future (Spring 2019 survey)

Salter's Bridge will remain closed, under a temporary order, until Killingworth Road is reopened, which we're now told will be in July 2019.
Salters bridge closureAfter that, the City Council will be undertaking research, collecting data relating to the speed and volume of traffic and its emissions. Another issue it will consider is the future maintenance of this historic structure.
Then if it decides to make any permanent changes it will consult on the long-term future.
Christine Morrissey, Parklands Ward Focus Editor, who has organised a survey amongst all Garden Village residents, now wants to widen it out. You can find it below.
"Some people find it more convenient to cut through Garden Village and cross the bridge," she commented. "But 9000 vehicles a day have a big impact on the local environment and quality of life. After an independent audit, the Killingworth Road Mitigation Board has decided against a partial reopening of Killingworth Road. Whatever the outcome of future work, it will not be an easy decision for the Council to make. But we want to make sure all views have a chance to be heard."
The wording of the survey is to align with previous work.
