GP SURGERY BREAKTHROUGH

4 Jun 2008

The campaign to set up a GPs surgery in Lemington has taken a leap forward. Health bosses have short-listed Lemington as a possible location for a new health centre or doctor's surgery.

A three-month consultation has been launched and local people have until the beginning of August to have their say.

Councillor Liz Langfield says: "I am really pleased that the primary care trust has taken notice of the views of local people that a doctor's surgery is needed here vitally.

"However, the fight has only just begun because we now have to convince the trust to set up the surgery or health centre here."
