HIGH STREET TRAFFIC CALMING

4 Jan 2010

The council is planning to introduce traffic calming measures on Newburn High Street.

The work will see a 20mph limit installed along the length of the road, as well as chicanes and speed humps.

Councillor Mike Lynch said: "There have been a number of road accidents on the High Street. I hope this scheme will make the road safer for pedestrians and drivers."
