Councillor Lawrence Hunter has won the fight to get a new bus stop installed in Dumpling Hall.

Local residents on Newdene Walk contacted Lawrence because they had to walk too far to the nearest bus stop.

After contacting bus operator Stagecoach, the firm agreed to install the new bus stop on Neptune Road, close to Sugley Dene.

Lawrence says: "I have been fighting for this bus stop to be installed for some time since I was contacted by local residents.

"I am pleased that Stagecoach has agreed to the request and that the bus stop is to be installed later this year."
