Children from Kingston Park School have helped to plant 10,000 bulbs in Ascot Walk.

Councillor Anita Lower says: "This is part of our long term plans to improve planting across Kingston Park. Sign boards will be erected to explain what work has been done."

The Lib Dem team has asked the council to investigate the problems with the traffic lights on Huntington Close.

The first of a series of 'Welcome to Kingston Park' signs are being installed.

It is being erected on Windsor Way, opposite Newcastle Falcons rugby club.
