MASSIVE CASH BOOST IN NEWBURN WARD

Around £200,000 has been spent on projects in Newburn Ward in the past year by the Lib Dem-run council.

New figures show that over £130,000 has been spent on roads and pavements in the last twelve months.

The ward committee has also given grants of £31,000 to local groups.

Another £35,000 has been spent on environmental schemes, such as the new rockeries.
