METRO NETWORK SET FOR CASH INVESTMENT

11 Sep 2008

Nearly £300 million is to be invested in the Metro network, which serves local people in Woolsington Ward.

The network's older stations will be modernised as part of the 20-year programme.

Other improvements include the complete refurbishment of the fleet of carriages and repairs to tunnels.

James Kenyon says: "This Government investment is welcome but pales into insignificance when you see how much is invested in the South East's transport network."
