NEW MEDICAL CENTRE GIVEN THE GO-AHEAD

11 Sep 2008

Plans to build a new health centre at Chapel House have been approved by the city council.

Councillors on the Development Control Committee granted conditional planning permission for the development.

The health centre will include two GPs practices, a dental surgery and a dementia care unit.

Councillors also granted conditional approval for the erection of a single storey extension to the Church of the Holy Nativity.

The plan includes the provision of an office, vestries, meeting room, community meeting room, toilets and a storage area. Work is expected to start by the end of the year.
