PARENTS PRESENT PETITION FOR NEW SCHOOL PATH

22 Dec 2008

Councillor Peter Arnold recently presented a petition to a meeting of Newcastle City Council on behalf of local residents.

The petition was from the parents of children who go to Beech Hill Primary School.

To get to the primary school many have to cross West Denton Way at the lights near Linhope Road.

The parents were asking for a short path to be put in from the lights to link up with an existing walking route to the school.

Councillor Peter Arnold says: "I was pleased to be able to present the petition to a meeting of the city council.

"I am delighted to tell residents that the petition has been successful.

"A new path should be place by the end of March."
