Heaton Pharmacy Campaign

Support our campaign for a pharmacy in Heaton

The Heaton Ward Liberal Democrats Team are campaigning to have pharmacy provision restored on Chillingham Road.

Commenting on the campaign, they  said: "Residents from Heaton and surrounding areas who attend the Heaton General Practices, will face an inconvenient journey to fill their prescriptions. Many of these residents would face a walk or a bus ride to reach an alternative chemist. The closure of Boots has been huge loss to the general community in the area as many people rely on it for advice, over the counter medications and other needs."

Your Lib Dem team have been supporting a local resident as he tries to get agreement from the authorities to create a new pharmacy and also raising the broader issue of citywide pharmacy provision with the council.

Heaton Pharmacy Campaign

I support the campaign for Pharmacy provision in Heaton. It is a vital part of the local community to be able to access pharmacy services and so promote general health and well being in our area.
