Bringing people together in our diverse city

Friendship Day brings together people from the various communities that make up our increasingly diverse city - accentuated now, post-Brexit vote, when a lot of people are feeling unwelcome.

This Sunday 18 December 2-4pm at Fawdon Community Centre. Friendhip Day will have music and food from around the world, stalls, Santa, tombola, quizzes, kids' games, and will showcase the various activities in the centre including the community library. People attending include Polish, Bosnians and Africans who are bringing food for people to sample, and some of their music,
