Brunton Lane Footbridge

The decision to close the footbridge over the A1 at Brunton Lane in the Great Park has been agreed, Officers are looking at including improved pedestrian and cycling facilities in the scheme and are in discussion with the Highways Agency. Work to install the footpath between Greenside, the new town centre and the School has been brought forward, work should start in the Autumn with completion in the new year, it will include a new footbridge over the Ouseburn, the footpath will be surfaced with Tarmac and lighting will be installed at a later date .

Kingston Park Green

There have been several incidents of vandalism to equipment at the park repairs are being carried out wehave asked the Police to carry out patrols in the area.

Great Park and Ride

The Park and Ride Scheme at the Great Park is being re-launched from September drivers will be able to park free and purchase a weekly return bus pass for £10.00

PCSO Protection

The ward committee has agreed to fund protective clothing for PCSO's to enable them to make use of cycles in the ward, this will allow the Community Support officers to access areas where Police vehicles cannot drive.

Dinnington Walkabout

Councillor Anita Lower had a village walkabout with Officers and members of Dinnington Parish Council to look at areas of concern to the Parish council members.

Westfield Avenue

Tenants have now moved in to the thirteen new bungalows in Westfield Avenue in Brunswick Village.

Crossways Roundabout

Crossways Roundabout Hazlerigg a low level "race course" style fence to be erected on the roundabout to prevent vehicles driving across it
