Fenham Library back in action

28 Mar 2011

Your Fenham Lib Dem Team have welcomed the re-opening of Fenham Library following emergency repairs caused by the winter snow and ice. It was discovered that the regular maintenance needed to keep the building safe for use, had been ignored during Labour's 30 year rule. Now the faults are being put right.

Fenham Councillor Mitzi Emery told FOCUS "A temporary entrance has been set up to use the building but residents who are unable to gain access because of the scaffolding can still change their books via the Home Delivery Service. "

One of the popular new services available through the Library is the downloading of books onto iPads, home computers and electronic book readers. You can find out more by calling 0191 277 4270 or contacting www.newcastle.gov.uk/digitalcollection
