A TRANSPORT REVOLUTION
Sweeping changes that it is claimed will make Newcastle one of the easiest cities to get around recently got the green light from the Council's Cabinet. Described as the biggest change in a generation, the programme of transport works and smart technology will make Newcastle one of the most accessible cities in the UK within five years.
LIBERAL DEMOCRAT COMMENT : We have asked officers at Newcastle City Council for the data (metrics) against which this claim will be measured, such as current journey times and the impact of cycling measures on powered vehicles. If any of our readers have a specialism in transport, we'd welcome your comments when the documentation is received.
