Labour can't rescue our NHS whilst allowing Brexit to happen - stop it, and NHS and social care services can be transformed.

"Labour's health announcement today completely misses the point. They are ignoring the fact that Brexit is the biggest threat to the NHS - if Labour allow Brexit to happen, they cannot rescue our NHS," Said Dr Wendy taylor, Liberal Democrats candidate for Newcastle East.

"Brexit has already cost the economy as much as £60 billion. If Corbyn had not tacitly supported Brexit, Labour could have funded their NHS plan more than two times over.

"Only the Liberal Democrats can offer voters a brighter future through stopping Brexit and transforming our NHS and social care services for the future."

"Boris Johnson stood in front of the side of a bus implying that Brexit will create an extra £350 million a week to spend on the NHS.

  • "We grossly underestimated the sum," Johnson later told The Guardian. This was quite untrue.

"Why can't you tell the truth for once, Prime Minister? Voters face years more of Brexit with your plan but you don't the guts or honesty to admit it - unless you walk away with no trade deal, and throw yet more British jobs and businesses under another bus.

"Johnson's plan means either years more negotiations or a disastrous No Deal Brexit in a year's time - yet the Prime Minister peddles yet another deception by pretending Brexit could soon be all over if only people vote Tory.

"There's only one quick way to get Brexit done - and that's to stop it, by giving Liberal Democrats the votes to make this nightmare end on a positive note."
