Lib Dems are on the right path

12 Jun 2011

In the seven years that the Lib Dems ran Newcastle City Council, roads or pavements were relaid in no less than 57 residential streets in the Westerhope ward totalling over 22 kilometres and representing over £1 MILLION of investment.

"The last 30 years of hard Labour in Newcastle saw a huge backlog build up of bad roads and pavements in the city, which the Liberal Democrats in control had started to tackle" said Patrick Morrissey. "The worst condition roads and pavements were lackled first but there's so much more to do. I'll keep the pressure on the new Labour-run council to maintain this programme."
