There was a new offer on the Jesmond end of the bridge - the Cllr James Coles and Focus Editor Peter Allen from the Jesmond Focus Team, offering the chance for local people to discuss problems and issues at a pop-up surgery.
It also offered a chance for shoppers and stallholders the chance to add their names to the petition to stop the sewage flowing along the Ouseburn through Jesmond Dene.
The Jesmond Focus Team hope to make this a regular event - so look out for more details soon.
