NEW HOMES TO BE BUILT IN BRUNSWICK VILLAGE

A total of 11 bungalows are to be built on land at Drysdale Crescent in Brunswick Village.

The development, which includes off-street parking, sheds and boundary fencing, was granted conditional planning permission by the council's Development Control Committee.

Councillor Ian Graham said: "The bungalows will be built by Your Homes Newcastle and will be available for rent by local people.

"I am pleased YHN is building more homes for rent as there is a desperate need for more homes in Newcastle.

"These bungalows are likely to be let to older people freeing up two and three bedroom properties for families."
