New traffic calming plans for our streets

24 Mar 2011

Local Lib Dem Councillors Lawrence Hunter and Liz Langfield have developed plans to bring speed readout
signs to busy streets in Lemington.

Lawrence said " The aim of these signs is to let drivers know what speeds they are doing. Most of Lemington
is purely residential, and 20 mph will soon become the maximum speed on our streets. These new signs will
help. Drivers will have no excuse for excessive speeds."

He added "This new initiative is designed to make our streets safer for everyone, especially the children, elderly and disabled people in Lemington."
