No 33 Bus - Campaign Success

It is always pleasing when we can report on successful conclusions to issues we have raised.
East Gosforth Councillor Peter Leggott reports; " I am delighted to announce that the bus service number 33 from Hollywood Avenue will continue with its present schedule after 31 March. Indeed, an extra hourly evening and Sunday service will be introduced to the Central Station. This is great news for all of us who campaigned to keep the service when it was threatened with withdrawal. Also it is good to know that at the next election, the size of the polling station on Newlands Road will be doubled, following complaints that the old one was not big enough."
