Independent experts say that Liberal Democrats are the clear choice for REMAIN in the North East.

Jeremy Corbyn confirmed today that the Labour party will seek to deliver on Brexit and commit to doing so in their EU Election manifesto. This means that Labour candidates int he region will be bound to Brexit despite their previous campaigning to Remain.

The other two parties commited to Remain have little to no chance in the North East, according to pundits.

The lead Liberal Democrats candidate Fiona Hall was Member of the European Parliament for 10 years, when she was vice-president of the European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources and a member of the group MEPs Against Cancer.

"It's the same old broken record from Jeremy Corbyn. He is throwing all regard for the environment, for jobs and the NHS out of the window with his personal obsession with taking the UK out of the EU, " said Vince Cable, the Liberal Democrats Leader on his birthday.

"It is clear that Jeremy Corbyn has trashed the hopes of Remainers. Like the Tories, UKIP, or the Brexit party, a vote for Labour at the European elections is a vote for Brexit.

"The Liberal Democrats, with over 100,000 members and 2,500 councillors across the country, are the strongest Remain voice going into the European Elections. If you want to stop Brexit then vote for the Liberal Democrats." Pictured here is Fiona Hall with fellow candidate Newcastle Councillor Dr Aidan King.
