25 Feb 2010

The Parklands Ward Committee to to discuss the draft Ward Charter in the Spring.

The charter is designed to allow residents to have a say in what services they want locally.

A questionnaire was sent to all households in the ward in the autumn and the results showed the priorities were dealing with flooding, traffic management and parking.

Other concerns included protecting local shops and facilities, roads and pavements, public transport, support for older people and children.

Councillor Diane Packham said: "The purpose of a Charter is to help us give you the services you want at a local level to improve your quality of life."
