Planters add some colour to Manor Park playground
Manor Park councillors were thrilled to see work beginning on the new planters they had arranged for the play park on Red Hall Drive.
The flower beds were ordered via Groundwork late last year, with Doreen, Greg and Deborah expecting they would arrive in the Spring. However, changes in Groundwork staff meant this work was delayed until today.
On Monday morning, two lovely chaps, John & Jack, began building the planters from seasoned wood and filling them up with compost and loam. They will begin planting this week with more bulbs to be added later in the autumn. We look forward to this adding to the appearance of the play park - some welcome colour and greenery.
The next related job will be to get a new waste bin installed along with an arrangement for regular emptying.
