RESIDENTS URGED TO USE LOCAL DOCTOR'S SURGERY

27 Feb 2010

Local residents are being urged to use the GPs surgery that operates from the Lemington Centre.

The surgery, which works alongside advanced nurse practitioners, opened last year following a campaign by local residents and the Lemington Lib Dems.

Local Councillor Liz Langfield said: "The surgery is proving popular with residents as it means people in Lemington who are registered with either the Newburn or Throckley practices can get an appointment nearer home.

"This is especially beneficial to older people or parents with young children.

"I know it took time to get the GP surgery off the ground but I am sure that the surgery will be a great benefit to residents."
