Upgrade for Jubilee Road community facilities

Funding is being gathered to invest in the community facilities adjacent to Jubilee Road. The priority is the repairs to Coxlodge Community Centre and parking, but other proposals exist to upgrade the changing rooms and bowling facilities. It is also hoped that a play area could be located at the front, at Jubilee Road, and negotiations are taking place with the Fire Service about a potential land swap to enable this to happen.

Detailed plans have been drawn up with costs attached. The City Council will provide the main source of the funding but the Community Centre is also a major contributor. External funding is being applied for and it is likely that any scheme would have to be implemented in phases over a period of time.
